Principal's Message
A Letter from Principal Amy Hammock
Welcome to McIntosh High School!
Whether you are returning to McIntosh or joining us for the first time, I am glad you are here. McIntosh is a great place to learn, and it is a privilege to serve as principal of a school with such a strong tradition of excellence.
McIntosh is known for outstanding academics, exceptional fine arts programs, competitive athletics, and countless opportunities for students to discover their interests and talents. But what makes McIntosh truly special is our people. Our students are talented and capable. Our teachers are committed to their craft and to student success. Our families are valued partners. Together, we create the culture that makes McIntosh what it is.
Our 2026-2027 theme, Collaborative and Committed: Excellence Runs Deep, reflects who we are and what we believe. Excellence does not happen by accident. It is built through strong relationships, shared expectations, purposeful collaboration, and a commitment to doing the right work every day.
This year, we will continue to focus on what matters most: knowing our students, protecting every minute of learning, and pursuing excellence every day.
We know that relationships create trust. Trust creates engagement. Engagement leads to high-quality teaching and learning. Excellence is the result.
For our students, that means being present, engaged, and ready to learn. It means making good choices, taking ownership, getting involved, and making the most of the opportunities McIntosh provides. Being a Chief means contributing to our school community and helping make McIntosh a great place to learn.
For our teachers and staff, it means creating classrooms where students feel known, challenged, supported, and engaged. It means collaborating with purpose, maintaining high expectations, and continually strengthening teaching and learning.
For our families, thank you for partnering with us. Your support and involvement matter. Stay connected, celebrate your student's accomplishments, attend our events, and find ways to be part of the McIntosh community.
There is a great deal to be proud of at McIntosh. Our responsibility is to honor our traditions while continuing to move forward together. We will be consistent in our expectations, intentional in our work, and committed to creating an environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.
Excellence runs deep at McIntosh—in our traditions, our relationships, our classrooms, and in the way we show up for one another every day.
Thank you for being part of McIntosh High School. I am excited for another year of learning, growth, and opportunity.
Go Chiefs!
