Adopt-A-Stream

Georgia Adopt-A-Stream is the state's volunteer water quality monitoring program. Student volunteers will regularly monitor a site along a local stream, wetland, lake, or estuary, and submit monitoring data to an online database. Types of monitoring could include chemical, bacterial, macroinvertebrate, visual, and amphibian monitoring.  

Envirothon Competition

McIntosh Aeronautics/Drone  Team

All students of any skill level are welcome. Building, flying, 3D design, and programming skills will be learned as we compete in the national drone competition. Fun fly and builds will occur monthly as fun team events.

Environmental Club

This club maintains the school-wide recycling program affiliated with the town.

Along with cart path litter pickups, we try to do one larger environmental outreach project a year. This club is a great way to meet other environmentally conscious people and accrue volunteer hours. Dues are $10 per year.
